The popularity of trampolines makes jumps across the country. School-aged children are madly amused, and the trampoline seems “child’s play”.
Given that today’s children are not doing enough physical activity, their enthusiasm for the sport is encouraging. The trampoline offers an excellent aerobic exercise and fitness.
Install it away from structures, trees and other play areas. Inspect it whenever children want to use it. Make sure that the springs, hooks and frame are covered with shock absorbing cushions, that the springs and lugs are securely engaged, and that the carpet and frame are not damaged.
Also avoid using a ladder or other device that would allow small children to ride there.
In addition, it is important to establish three non-negotiable rules for children using the trampoline:
- One person at a time.
- No somersaults or pirouettes.
- Do not throw yourself on the trampoline from a higher place or jump down the trampoline.
